About Dave's Hot Chicken® • The Real Story

Established by close friends Dave Kopushyan, Arman Oganesyan, and Tommy and Gary Rubenyan, Dave's Hot Chicken was born out of a culinary journey driven by passion. Drawing on Chef Dave's training with Thomas Keller's renowned French Laundry, these four friends dedicated themselves to the quest for the ultimate Hot Chicken experience. With $900 scraped together, they set up a small stand in an East Hollywood parking lot. Keeping the menu simple, they focused on letting the chicken speak for itself. Every piece is carefully sourced and prepared to attain unmatched juiciness and tenderness. To top it all off, each serving of Dave's Hot Chicken is generously seasoned with Dave’s signature spice mix, available in a range of intensities from No Spice to "The Reaper."
